What’s New at Ohoopee in 2026

It’s been a big year on the river.

If you haven’t visited Ohoopee River RV & Camp Resort since last year, a lot has changed. If you’ve been here all season, you’ve watched most of it happen.

Either way, we wanted to take a minute to look back at what’s new in 2026 and say thank you to everyone who came along for the ride.

A New Chapter and a New Name

Mr. Billy opened this campground in 2018. He cleared the land and built it with his own hands, and he spent years making it a place where kids run free and neighbors become friends.

In January 2026, Monica and Norbert took over. In April, the name officially changed from Ohoopee River Campground to Ohoopee River RV & Camp Resort.

The name is new, but the heart of the place is the same. We’re still building on what Billy made.

Glamping Arrived

This spring our crew built 10 glamping tents from the platform up. Every one of them has A/C.

There are a few styles to pick from:

  • Grand Canvas: our family-size tent with a big bed plus a bunk

  • Cozy Canvas: one king-size bed, made for two

  • Bare Canvas: the canvas tent, the platform and the A/C, and you bring the rest

Each tent has a covered porch, a picnic table and a fire pit out front.

Two Cabins, Remodeled

The Beaver Den and the Coyote Den were both remodeled this year.

Both now have a full bathroom with a shower, a kitchen with a stove and oven, an apartment-size fridge and heat and A/C. The Beaver Den sleeps 4 and the Coyote Den sleeps 6.

The Bird’s Nest is still here too, our coziest cabin for two.

Easier Booking

In May we moved our reservations to Staylist. You can now see availability and book RV sites, tent sites, cabins and glamping online any time, day or night.

We renumbered the sites at the same time, so if you’re a returning guest, your favorite spot may have a new number.

Small Things That Add Up

Not every upgrade makes a headline, but these all make a stay a little easier:

  • Laundry: our machines now take cards.

  • Bathhouses: we’ve been putting work into them all year.

  • Community garden: new this year and growing.

Our First Music Festival

On Saturday, November 14, we’re hosting the first annual Ohoopee Revival, a Southern rock music festival right here on the property.

People have asked us for years when live music was coming back to the river. This is our answer, and a portion of the proceeds goes to our charity partner, Gardens of Hope in Lyons.

General admission is $20 in advance and $25 at the gate. You can buy yours online at ohoopeeresort.com/revival.

Thank You

None of this happens without our guests. Thank you for booking, for coming back, for telling your friends and for being patient while we built.

We have more plans for next year, and we can’t wait to share them.

Come See What’s New!

If it’s been a while, now is a great time to come back and take a look.

RV Sites: Full hookup, pull-through and 30/50 amp.

Tent Sites: Classic camping with the river close by.

Cabins: Two of them just remodeled.

Glamping: New this year, with a real bed and A/C.
