Slow Down, You’re on River Time
At Ohoopee River RV & Camp Resort, we like to say you're on river time.
Things slow down a little here. Kids ride their bikes, dogs go on walks, golf carts cruise by, and neighbors stop to chat.
A few simple campground rules help keep it that way. They keep everyone safe and make the campground a place people want to come back to year after year.
So whether this is your first visit or your fiftieth, here they are all in one place.
Check-In, Check-Out and Quiet Hours
Check-in: 1 PM for RV sites, tent sites and Bare Canvas tents. 3 PM for cabins and furnished glamping tents, though they may be ready as early as 1 PM.
Check-out: 11 AM
Quiet hours: 10 PM to 7 AM
Quiet hours mean your neighbors can get a good night's sleep, and you can too.
Our Campground Rules
5 MPH. Every Road, Every Time.
This is the big one.
Our roads are shared by kids, dogs, bikes, golf carts and campers out for a walk. Please keep it at 5 MPH everywhere in the campground, every time you drive. Slowing down is part of river time anyway!
Golf Carts Follow the Same Rules
Golf carts are a great way to get around the campground, and they follow all the same road rules as cars and trucks. That means:
Keep it at 5 MPH
Follow the one-way roads
Stay off the grass, and don't cut through other campsites
Drivers must be 16 or older
Driving after dark is fine. Just remember that a golf cart is a way to get around, not a toy.
Keep Pets on a Leash
We love having your pets here!
When they're outside your camper, please keep them on a leash or a tie-out. If they need to run and burn off some energy, our off-leash dog run is the place for it.
Keep Fires in the Fire Pit
Nothing beats a campfire on the river. Please keep your fire inside the fire pit provided at your site.
Bag Your Trash
Please bag your trash and take it to the dumpster near the exit gate. It keeps the campground clean and keeps the critters out of your campsite.
Keep Your Site Neat
A tidy campsite makes the whole campground look great. Please don't use indoor furniture outside. Outdoor chairs and patio furniture are perfect.
Swim at Your Own Risk
The river is one of the best parts of staying with us, but river levels change.
Before you get in, read the river signs and check the conditions. Swimming is at your own risk, so keep an eye on the kids and play it safe.
No Cigarette Butts on the Ground
Please don't toss cigarette butts on the ground or in the fire pits. Dispose of them properly so the campground stays clean for everyone.
Why We Have Rules
None of this is meant to be strict.
These rules are simply how we keep the campground safe, clean and family-friendly. They're why families feel comfortable letting the kids ride their bikes, and why people keep coming back.
Think of them as being a good camping neighbor.
