Glamping or Cabin? How to Choose

Both options give you a real bed, a roof and the river close by. They are different, though. Here is how to pick.

The short answer

  • Want your own bathroom, a stove or the option to bring a dog? Pick a cabin.

  • Want a tent feel with a bed, heat, AC and a kitchenette? Pick glamping.

Glamping tents

We have 10 glamping units.

  • Grand Canvas: $145 a night. Furnished, with a kitchenette, dinette and AC. There are five units with three bed setups (a king with a twin-over-full bunk, a king with a twin-over-twin bunk or a queen with a twin-over-full bunk). Good for families.

  • Cozy Canvas: $125 a night. Furnished, with a king bed, kitchenette, dinette and AC. Good for couples.

  • Bare Canvas: $60 a night. Unfurnished, with AC and closet shelving. Bring your own bed and gear.

  • Yurt: $40 a night. A large ready-to-use tent with a fire pit, picnic table, water and electric.

Furnished tents also have a mini fridge, microwave, Keurig and tea kettle. Tents sleep 2 to 6 depending on the unit.

Outside every tent, you get a covered porch, a picnic table and a fire pit. Furnished tents also have Adirondack chairs. Community grills are available on request.

What to know. Glamping guests use the main bathhouse. The tents will be heated for the season, and the AC keeps evenings comfortable in summer. Glamping has a 2-night minimum. No pets in any glamping tent.

Cabins

We have three cabins. All have linens, a picnic table, fire pit, grill, heat and AC.

  • The Bird's Nest: from $95 a night. Sleeps 2 (one queen). Microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. No bathroom or kitchen.

  • The Beaver Den: from $135 a night. Sleeps 4 (one queen and two twins). Just remodeled. Full bathroom with a shower, a kitchenette with a stove and oven and an apartment-size fridge.

  • The Coyote Den: from $155 a night. Sleeps 6 (two kings and two twins). Just remodeled. Full bathroom with a shower, a kitchen with a stove and oven and an apartment-size fridge.

Pets are OK in all three cabins with a refundable deposit. The Beaver Den and Coyote Den allow up to 2.

What to know. Cabins have a 2-night minimum (3 nights on holidays). The Bird's Nest has no private bathroom, so guests walk to the bathhouse.
