Campfire Season Is Here

The air's getting cooler, the sun's going down earlier and campfire season has officially arrived.

This is the time of year we wait for all summer. The heat breaks, the evenings get comfortable and there's nothing better than sitting close to a fire with people you like.

If you've been waiting for a reason to book a trip, this is it.

A Fire Pit at Every Site

Every site at Ohoopee River RV & Camp Resort has a fire pit. That includes RV sites, tent sites, cabins and glamping tents. There's no hunting for a place to build a fire. It's already there, waiting for you.

Cabins also have a grill, so you can cook dinner and then settle in by the flames.

Keep the Fire in the Pit

We say this a lot, because it matters.

Please keep your fire inside the fire pit provided at your site. Never leave it burning when you walk away, and make sure it's completely out before bed.

Cigarette butts don't belong in the fire pit, either. Dispose of them properly so the campground stays clean for everyone.

Everything You Need at the Camp Store

No firewood? No problem.

Our camp store has firewood at $6 a bundle and s'mores supplies, so you can pick up everything for campfire night without leaving the campground.

We also carry ice, snacks, frozen foods and camper parts, in case you're missing something else.

Campfire Night, Step by Step

1. Grab Your Supplies

Stop by the camp store while the office is open for a bundle of firewood and s'mores supplies.

2. Build the Fire

Stack your wood in the fire pit and light it up. A little patience goes a long way.

3. Pull Up a Chair

Bring your camp chairs in close. A blanket helps when the evening cools down.

4. Roast Something

Marshmallows, hot dogs, whatever you like. Kids love this part, and so do the grown-ups.

5. Tell a Few Stories

Some of the best camping memories happen right here. Put the phones down and enjoy it.

Please Remember Quiet Hours

Campfires are for gathering, and we want everyone to enjoy them. Our quiet hours are 10 PM to 7 AM, so keep the conversation low as the night wears on. Your neighbors will thank you.
